The Gallery’s programme consists of temporary exhibitions that change every two months and respond sensitively to current social issues in the city and the region. The exhibition programme provides space for young, emerging artists to make their first solo debut and for middle-generation artists to showcase their practice, as well as for international, thematic group exhibitions with a (mainly) Central European focus.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][vc_column_text]In addition to the organisation of exhibitions, an important activity of the Budapest Gallery is the artist exchange programme<\/a>, which offers local artists and curators the opportunity to spend a one- or two-month residency at the Gallery’s international partner institutions, and foreign artists the opportunity to travel to the Hungarian capital to expand their artistic practice and network.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][vc_column_text]In terms of programmes, the Gallery places great emphasis on education. For children of different ages, kindergarten and school groups, as well as for adults, the Gallery’s staff regularly organise art education sessions – both in connection with and beyond the exhibitions.
