[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″ el_class=”full-2″][vc_column_text]For the first time in Hungary, a large-scale exhibition centred on light-art is being held which in this case presents Hungarian examples of immersive light-art environments.<\/p>\n
These situations, which diverge strikingly from our usual modes of perception, are made possible by the contrivances of the optoelectronic revolution of the 20th century, by various artificial sources of light, such as neon, laser, LED and high-capacity projectors, as well as digital imagery. With their use, the art that was defined by L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Moholy-Nagy in the middle of the last century as the most fully developed phase of space-time formation \u2013 the zenith of sculpture as it were \u2013 can find form in our time.<\/p>\n
Light defines the environment, thus the exhibition places side by side cultural and artistic examples of presence brought to our awareness by means of light: the situations and representations that are created by natural and artificial interior and exterior lights, interior installations and exterior night architecture.<\/p>\n
The exhibition More Light! presents a wide array of experiments by Hungarian artists in this global trend, compositions which hold their ground on the international level. Beyond showcasing works which make use of artificial light, the exhibition broadens its horizon of thought in a direction where the works of art raise the question: what does existence in light mean to us?[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”45px”][vc_single_image image=”18701″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
