Additional Application<\/em><\/h1>\n

For the CSU – Center for Contermporary Arts Celje’s residency program in 2024.<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”45″][vc_column_text]On behalf of the Municipality of Budapest, the Budapest History Museum – Budapest Gallery and the CSU – Center for Contemporary Arts Celje jointly announce a call for artists living and working in Budapest for the year 2024, for creative, professional and artistic networking opportunities.<\/p>\n

Travel period:<\/strong> May-June 2024<\/p>\n

The CSU – Center for Contermporary Arts Celje will provide the winning applicant with accommodation, studio space, a 600 EUR\/month honorarium (upon presentation of an invoice) and exhibition opportunities.<\/p>\n

Application requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications are invited from those who have won this competition up to once and travelled before 2021. The CSU – Center for Contermporary Arts Celje and BTM – Budapest Gallery also expect applicants who can speak English and\/or Slovenian at an adequate level about their work and professional issues. Please declare your language skills responsibly on the registration form.<\/p>\n

You should also declare any study trips abroad that you have been awarded a scholarship for 2022-2023. This is not a disqualification, it is purely for information. We expect a written professional report, including photos, from the successful applicant after the trip abroad. Participants are asked to occasionally support the Budapest Gallery’s artist exchange programme, so that foreign artists coming to Budapest can get a better understanding of the capital’s art scene and future domestic applicants can get a more complete picture of the exchange programme.<\/p>\n

How to apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications must be sent electronically to hermann.julia@btm.hu <\/a><\/p>\n

The subject of the message should be CELJE2024.<\/p>\n

Deadline:<\/strong> 20 January 2024<\/p>\n

The application must include: <\/strong><\/p>\n

– a registration form and a declaration of consent to personal data processing, which can be downloaded at the bottom of the page
\n– a curriculum vitae and work portfolio in one PDF file
\n– and a cover letter of up to 2-2 thousand characters in Hungarian and English<\/p>\n

Applications will be judged by a professional jury invited by the Budapest Gallery. The jury will select a shortlist of five from which the host institution will choose the winner.<\/p>\n

The jury for the 2023 artist exchange competition will be composed of<\/strong> J\u00falia Hermann, Kriszti\u00e1n Kukla, Fanni Solym\u00e1r, Kriszti\u00e1n T\u00f6r\u00f6k, Anna Zsoldos<\/p>\n

Deadline for the evaluation of the competition:<\/strong> end of January<\/p>\n

Deadline for the final result:<\/strong> mid-February<\/p>\n
