Open Call 2026 \/ Center europ\u00e9en d\u2019actions artistiques contemporaines (CEAAC), Strasbourg<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

On behalf of the Municipality of Budapest, the BHM Budapest Gallery and the Centre europ\u00e9en d\u2019actions artistiques contemporaines (CEAAC) in Strasbourg<\/strong><\/a> jointly announce a call for artists living and working in Budapest for the year 2026, for creative, professional and artistic networking opportunities.<\/p>\n

Residency period:<\/strong> 1 April \u2013 30 April 2026<\/p>\n

The CEAAC will provide the winning applicant:<\/p>\n

-fully equipped accomodation and studio in the center of Strasbourg nearby the CEAAC<\/p>\n

-A financial support of 1000 \u20ac (providing an invoice is necessary)<\/p>\n

-professional support as required and a public event at the end of the residency<\/p>\n

Application requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications are invited from those who have won this competition up to once and travelled before 2022. The CEAAC and BHM Budapest Gallery also expect applicants who can speak English and\/or French at an adequate level about their work and professional issues.<\/p>\n

We expect a written professional report, including photos, from the successful applicant after the trip abroad. Participants are asked to occasionally support the Budapest Gallery’s artist exchange programme, so that foreign artists coming to Budapest can get a better understanding of the capital’s art scene and future domestic applicants can get a more complete picture of the exchange programme.<\/p>\n

Applications must be sent electronically to hermann.julia@btm.hu<\/a><\/p>\n

The subject of the message<\/strong> should be CEAAC2025<\/p>\n

Deadline:<\/strong> 10 December 2025<\/p>\n

The application must include: <\/strong><\/p>\n

– a registration form and a declaration of consent to personal data processing, which can be downloaded at the bottom of the page<\/p>\n

– a curriculum vitae and work portfolio in one PDF file, in the maximum size of 20 MB<\/p>\n

– and a cover letter of up to 2-2 thousand characters in Hungarian and English<\/p>\n

Applications will be judged by a professional jury invited by the Budapest Gallery. The jury will select a shortlist<\/strong> from which the host institution will choose the winner.<\/p>\n

The jury for the 2026 artist exchange competition will be composed of Tam\u00e1s Don, Fl\u00f3ra Gad\u00f3, J\u00falia Hermann, Emese Mucsi, Lea Nov\u00e1k.<\/p>\n

Deadline for the final result:<\/strong> January 2026<\/p>\n
